SSA donors undergo an extensive multi-level screening based on both objective and subjective standards designed to satisfy both the egg donation rules and guidelines of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies and our own criteria based on years of experience.
Candidates must pass an initial phone screening or fill out our brief online application. After the initial screening, candidates will complete an in-depth background questionnaire and will be asked to submit multiple photos of themselves at the following ages: current, birth to three years, elementary school, and middle school or high school. Any candidate reporting higher education (beyond high school) must provide verification (transcripts).
Later in the process, candidates will meet with a licensed mental health professional for a clinical interview/assessment and will complete the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI). The PAI is a widely used and researched test of adult behavior and psychopathology. The test is based on 344 true/false questions and takes approximately one hour to complete.
If you have any questions about the egg donor qualifications or you would like additional information, please click here or call our office at 713-952-4772 and one of our staff members will assist you.
